A Mercy Meal Box (Blessings Box) has been constructed and installed beside the church in order for us to assist those in need by providing basic items. In this way we can share the love, mercy, and generosity that Christ has shown to us with those who need it most.
A volunteer has offered to maintain and monitor the box for replacements and refreshing; however, we do need the support of our parishioners to stock the box.
A container will be located in the church hall for donations of non-perishable items, which can be donated at any time. The container will be labeled.
Ideas for Non-Perishable Donations: Canned vegetables and proteins, personal care items (excepting sharps, like razor blades), and paper goods. As summer approaches, please consider donating kid-friendly non-perishables, crayons, and inexpensive party favor items. Around the start of and during the school year, school supplies may be a good idea to keep in our Mercy Box.
Monetary donations may also be made to the church (either by placing the donation inside an envelope labeled “Mercy Meal Box” or by writing "Mercy Meal Box" in the memo line of a check) to help purchase needed donation items.
Please do not donate: Perishable items, old/used clothing, sharps, or chemicals
We look forward to serving our local community with this ministry and thank you, in advance, for your generosity!
"Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me." Matthew 25:40
